Coronation Street's Glenda Shuttleworth (played by Jodie Prenger) and Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) make their relationship official next week.

In recent episodes, viewers have seen the attraction grow between Michael and Glenda, who is suing brother George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) over their father's will.

During Wednesday's instalment (June 5) of the ITV soap, Glenda admits to Michael that George is still unaware of her plans to sue him.

Her guilt intensifies when George reveals he is sending some money over to Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) as Jason’s medical insurance has run out, making her realise that her brother is a good man.

Glenda confides in Michael that she feels bad about suing George. When Michael reminds her that her Dad wanted her to have half of the business, she is grateful for his support.

Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) tells Glenda she also has a claim on half of George’s house. When George receives the letter detailing Glenda’s claim, he storms into the pub and lets rip at his sister.

Glenda sticks to her guns and says she will see him in court. After Glenda opens up about her family, Michael pulls her in for a kiss.

Next week, after spending the night together, Glenda ushers Michael out of the back door of the pub. Meanwhile, Dee Dee tells George a mediator would save both him and Glenda money.

Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) repeats the advice to Glenda, and Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) offers to do it. How will it go?

Meanwhile, Glenda bumps into Michael in the ginnel and the pair share another kiss.

Glenda then takes him by the hand and leads him into the Rovers. Later, when Glenda reveals that RestEasy are keen to buy Shuttleworths, George is apoplectic.

When Michael calls at the Rovers, he finds George rowing with Glenda. Michael steps in and announces that he and Glenda are now an item and, issuing a warning, tells George he should show her more respect.

Glenda parks herself next to a nervous Michael and pulls him in for a kiss, assuring him she feels the same way.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
