Joss Stone's harrowing admission after terrifying 2011 murder plot

Joss Stone was previously subjected to a traumatic murder plot which inspired her move to Nashville.

Joss Stone reveals she secretly married her partner

Joss Stone will make a special appearance on today’s episode of James Martin’s Saturday Morning. The singer will star alongside presenter Carol Vorderman as they enjoy delectable dishes from the TV chef and his culinary friends.

Despite her thriving career in the UK, Joss relocated to the US in Nashville, Tennessee after she was targeted in a kidnap and murder plot in 2011.

After plans to decapitate the Grammy winner with a samurai sword at her home in Devon, two men were found guilty and jailed in 2013.

Kevin Liverpool and Junior Bradshaw, who labelled her a “she-devil” plotted to kill her because of her links to the Royal Family.

Thankfully their shockingly violent scheme was halted after they were stopped as they drove to the pop star’s home with a car full of weapons.

Kevin was sentenced to life in jail with a minimum of ten years and eight months to serve, while his accomplice Junior was sentenced to 18 years behind bars.

Reflecting on the terrifying ordeal last year, Joss shared: “What happened to me in 2011 has made me lock my doors and have an alarm system, whereas I didn’t before.”

Speaking on her husband, she told The Times: “Cody’s so mellow, he says, ‘Oh, we don’t need to worry about that,’ and I’m, like, "Well, you know, people do sometimes try to kill you.

“Then he says, ‘Oh yeah, that small thing,’ That’s not a positive thought, so it does make you safety conscious.”

Joss continued: “Although that’s another blessing, isn’t it? Because I wasn’t before and now I am. But out in Nashville I know those men are not here, so I feel so much safer.

“Cody worked in security, so he’s the best person to have around."

A year after their sentencing, both men got their sentences cut after winning an appeal against the length of their sentences.

Junior had his 18-year sentence cut to ten years by three Court of Appeal judges in London, while Kevin, who was originally given life with a minimum term of ten years and eight months, had his sentence reduced to six-and-a-half years.
