Seann Walsh Katya Jones kiss: Comedian speaks out on his ‘main worry’ after 'tense’ weeks
SEANN WALSH and his Strictly Come Dancing 2018 professional partner Katya Jones hit the headlines earlier this month after they were spotted kissing on a night out and now the comedian has spoken out about his “main worry” after two “tense” weeks.
It Takes Two: Seann Walsh says he thought he'd be first to leave
Seann Walsh, 32, and Katya Jones, 29, appeared on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show It Takes Two tonight to discuss their upcoming routine with host Zoe Ball.
The presenter turned the chat onto Seann’s dancing skills where she stated the star has been struggling with the beat.
Zoe said to the comedian: “You’re main worry this week was you couldn’t hear the beat of the music…?
“Yes it’s my main worry every week, but yeah,” Seann replied.
It’s my main worry every week
When asked what she does to help Seann, Katya spilled: “It’s improving this week. He can hear the beat now.
“I’m like ‘yes you’ve got it!’ but then he can’t do it to the beat still so his feet don’t follow, now we shout it out so the sound will connect to his feet.”
Seann added: “Trying to connect my mouth to my feet, that’s what we are doing.”
This weekend, the couple will be performing a Viennese Waltz to I Put A Spell On You by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins for the Halloween special.
Talking about their progress in rehearsals, Katya divulged: “It’s luckily not that many steps. We went through them today and it’s looking really good and I hope we can pull it off.”
Following the kiss scandal, Seann, who was dumped by his girlfriend of five years Rebecca Humphries, admitted he wants to focus on his upcoming routine after being “tense” the past couple of weeks.
“My aim is to really know it [the routine]." he said. “Last week was tense, the week before that was tense.
“This week I just want to be ready. That’s the main aim for Saturday.”
Also during the interview, Seann said he believed he would be the first celebrity to be voted off of the competition.
Zoe asked: “Before you started this whole process, did you ever think you’d get this far in the competition, Sean?”
“Honestly, no,” he replied.
The comedian also revealed: “I thought I’d be gone by week one. I thought I can’t dance. I don’t know how to dance.
“No, it’s been great. I’ve got a lot further than I thought."
Earlier this month, Seann and Katya, who is married to Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones, were spotted enjoying a passionate smooch after an evening out.
The two both apologised for their actions on their respective media accounts with Katya declaring the kiss was “no reflection” on her marriage.
Strictly Come Dancing returns Saturday at 6.50pm on BBC One.
