Znojmo, known as the 'Moravian Tuscany', is a treasure trove of medieval charm, boasting underground tunnels, ancient buildings, and lush vineyards, not to mention some of the most affordable drinks around.
Tucked away in South Moravia, this walled town is steeped in history, dating back to 1226, and offers a population of 34,000 a slice of scenic beauty. The extensive network of tunnels, spanning 17 miles with four levels, is a must-see attraction for any intrepid explorer.
Beyond the subterranean wonders, visitors can bask in the natural splendour of Podyji National Park, sample the local wines, or marvel at the grandeur of Vranov nad Dyji castle, perched majestically by the river Dyje.
Local vintners boast their wine is "like honey", and confidently claim, "We swear to you that you cannot take more beautiful pictures of rolling landscapes anywhere else in the world. The Italian Tuscany is not nearly as beautiful as this place."

Despite its charm, South Moravia remains an undiscovered treasure, attracting only 690,300 foreign visitors in 2023, a stark contrast to Prague's staggering 5.8 million.
