Wimbledon: Serena Williams shows fan how to take a selfie
Williams survived the toughest test yet of her Wimbledon comeback after battling to advance to the semi-finals today.
The seven-time champion, who missed the tournament last year, was outplayed by Italian Giorgi in the first set, but rallied to win 3-6 6-3 6-4 on Centre Court.
But hilariously as she came off court, Williams had to give a helping hand to a fan who wanted a selfie.
The man got his phone out ready to take a quick snap with the Wimbledon icon but couldn’t quite get the perfect shot.
So Williams duly took the phone off him and captured the perfect selfie much to the delight of the fan.
After battling her way to the semi-final, Williams admits she still has a long way to go before she returns to the top of her game.
“I feel good and did better today, I had to. This is only my fourth tournament back. I don’t feel pressure,” Williams said.
“I don’t feel like I have the right to win and I don’t feel like I have the right to lose.
“I feel like I’m back but I still have a long way to go to get back to where I was.
“Actually every time I play Giorgi she always plays that level.
“It is pretty impressive. She always plays like that no matter who she plays.
“She is capable of doing really good and always gives 100 every match and tournament.
“After the first set I was like alright let’s go three sets
“It wasn’t any surprise I just kept fighting.”
