American tennis star Sebastian Korda is heading to Wimbledon in top form after reaching the semi-finals of Queen's. His impressive run included victories over Cameron Norrie, Frances Tiafoe and Dan Evans before being defeated by Carlos Alcaraz.

The 23-year-old, who achieved his best-ever SW19 finish in the fourth round in 2021, will be cheered on by his remarkable sporting family.

Korda's best Grand Slam performance was at last year's Australian Open where he reached the quarter-finals, only to be defeated by Stefanos Tsitsipas. This Major holds a special place in his heart as his father, Petr Korda, clinched the title in 1998.

Petr also won the doubles event with Stefan Edberg two years earlier, while his wife, Regina Rajchrtova, had a successful professional golf career, reaching a career-high ranking of world No 26.

The couple's three children have clearly inherited their parents' sporting prowess. Their two daughters are currently making waves on the women's PGA Tour as professional golfers.

Jessica, 31, won the women's Australian Open in 2012 and has represented the United States in the Solheim Cup three times. However, she announced last May that she would take an indefinite break from the sport to recover from a back injury.

Meanwhile, Sebastian and Jessica's sister Nelly clinched the women's PGA Championship in 2021 and has twice been ranked world No 1, boasting seven LPGA Tour wins. She also became the second US woman to win a gold medal in the Olympics since Margaret Abbott in the 1900 Games, following her triumph in 2020.

Sebastian Korda has expressed his deep appreciation for his family's support in an interview with ITFWorld, saying: "I love answering questions about my family. My dad achieved something that everyone who picks up a racket dreams about. My parents dedicated their lives to us. And without them, we wouldn't have the opportunities we have and definitely wouldn't have the success we have today as a family."

Despite his own achievements, Korda humorously remarked on his status within his talented family after his impressive performance at the Australian Open, where he reached the fourth round. "I love playing in Australia, as does my family," he said. "My dad won the Australian Open 25 years ago, and my sister won the Australian Open in women's golf."

He continued to compare his sporting accomplishments with those of his family members: "I don't know what I'm going to be ranked, but my mum's career high was 26, my dad was two, my sister Nelly was No 1, my elder sister Jessica was six - so I'm definitely the worst athlete in the family so far."

Korda is romantically linked with Ivana Nedved, daughter of Czech football legend Pavel Nedved, who is widely regarded as one of the country's greatest ever players, having had a stellar career at Lazio and Juventus and clinching the Ballon d'Or in 2003.
