Queen’s Thursday order of play: Andy Murray primed for return at Fever-Tree Championships
QUEEN’s Thursday order of play: Andy Murray, Kyle Edmund, Stan Wawrinka and Nick Kyrgios are all in action today.
The Fever-Tree Championships continues on Thursday after rain hampered the opening two days of play, resulting in Andy Murray’s comeback being pushed back to today.
The Scot is set to return today after six months off the court, following a hip resurfacing injury.
Murray feared his tennis career was over in January after he crashed out of the Australian Open in the first round.
But after he underwent the risky procedure, he was able to walk again without pain, and will now test his physical ability by playing doubles as he builds up to a potential run at playing in the singles event at Wimbledon.
The 32-year-old will team up with Feliciano Lopez today to face Juan Sebastian Caba and Robert Farah.
Their centre court clash finishes off a strong schedule in west London.
Before him, fans will be able to see fellow Brit Kyle Edmund take on number one seed Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Elsewhere, Stan Wawrinka is back in action as he faces Nicolas Mahut.
Tennis fans were left disappointed earlier this week after rain forced Tuesday’s play to be scrapped entirely.
But with forecasts clear of rain today, it is unlikely that there will be any disruptions.
