Draymond Green sends shot at LeBron James ahead of Christmas Day game
DRAYMOND GREEN has begun the war of words with LeBron James, as the pair get set to go face-to-face on Christmas Day.
The Lakers travel to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, looking to recover from Sunday night’s defeat.
Tuesday night will be the biggest test of the year so far for the new-look Lakers.
It will also be the first time that James has faced the reigning back-to-back NBA champions since his move to Los Angeles.
In the last four NBA Finals, James has lined up against the Warriors, coming out on top just once.
But now that he has joined the Lakers, he has more of a chance of beating them, as they meet in the Western Conference rather than the NBA Finals.
However, one Golden State star insisted that he didn’t want to read too much into the fact that James would be wearing the famous purple and gold.
“I don’t give a damn about him being in a Lakers uniform,” he told reporters after the Warriors’ win over the LA Clippers.
“It doesn’t matter to me.
“It’s just the team that he’s on, and that’s who we face.
“It’s going to be a tough challenge, they’ve got guys playing well.
“Lonzo is playing well, Kuzma has really stepped his game up.
“Then obviously ‘Bron is ‘Bron.
“They’re going to be tough, a tough match up on Christmas Day.
“But we’re going to have to be at our best.”
Tip-off on Tuesday night is 1am UK time on the 26th.
