LeBron James: Lakers star speaks out on NBA trades, Kyle Korver mentioned
LeBRON JAMES has spoken out on the brutal business of trades in the NBA.
LeBron James: Joining the Lakers is a dream come true
LeBron has switched teams three times during his NBA career, though each of those have been by his own accord.
The Los Angeles Lakers star made the move to LA during the offseason, opting out of his deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
There have been a number of high-profile trades this season with Jimmy Butler making the move from Minnesota Timberwolves to Philadelphia 76ers.
Kyle Korver, who LeBron played alongside at Cleveland, has left the Cavs having joined Utah Jazz.
And having seen a number of players come and go during his career, LeBron has spoken about trading.
“It’s a business,” LeBron said ahead of Lakers clash with the Houston Rockets.
“If you get traded, it doesn’t mean your paycheck stops. It doesn’t matter, you’re still going to be in the NBA.
“Just continue to get better and better and if you get traded it’s just part of the business.
“It sucks, that’s for sure but it happens.
“My good friend Kyle Korver just got traded, 16 years.
“You think it’s hard for a younger guy, I think it’s harder for an older guy to do it.
“An older guy with family and kids, been in the same city for ages and then you get traded, I think it’s harder for those guys.”
