NBA news: Kobe Bryant TROLLS Golden State Warriors with LeBron James and Lakers claim
NBA NEWS – Kobe Bryant believes the Los Angeles Lakers will end up laughing at the Golden State Warriors when the season is all over.
The Lakers have made an inconsistent start to the season after signing LeBron James.
But Bryant thinks the Warriors should watch out as Luke Walton’s side find their way and get ready to challenge the side who have dominated NBA in the last few years.
Bryant – who won five titles with the Lakers – has told fans to enjoy the ride this season.
“They will figure it out,” he said.
We'll just be laughing at all the Warrior fans who all of the sudden came out of nowhere
“They have talented pieces and (Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka) has put them in position with incredible flexibility. They will figure it out.
“So, enjoy the journey because we'll be champions before you know it, and then we'll just be laughing at all the Warrior fans who all of the sudden came out of nowhere.”
Bryant has also opened up on the challenges LeBron James is facing following his move from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
“It's a test of Bron's patience and also doing what he needs to do to keep the team's head above water,” he explained.
LeBron James has a lot of influence on signings says expert
“So, it's a balancing act.
“They were struggling, Bron got the ball, took control, decided to start playing point, doing everything, doing everything.
“That's not the recipe for winning championships by no means, but it is a recipe to keep your head above water, to give yourself a little breathing room and now it's going back to teaching how to play the way that we want to play.”
The Lakers return to action against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday at 3.30am UK time (7.30pm PDT in the USA).
LeBron and his team-mates are currently fifth in the Western Conference just behind the Warriors.
The 33-year-old has played 23 times for the Lakers this season and averages 27.8 points per game.
He will hope to continue his good form against the Spurs and leapfrog the Warriors in the process.
