NBA: Lakers v Heat clash will be ‘interesting’ says fan
James spent four years in South Beach, winning two NBA titles, three MVP titles and was twice the NBA Finals MVP.
His 2010 move from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Heat was extremely controversial.
Fans protested in the streets after it was announced that James, from Ohio, would be leaving his hometown team.
After four years, he returned home to Cleveland, before leaving again in the summer of this year to join the Lakers.
James, however, has insisted that there will be no sour feelings towards his former side as he prepares to face them again.
Instead, he suggested that he will use the memories he has to spur himself on against the 6-9 strugglers.
“It always brings back memories when you go to a place where you had some success,” he said.
“It seems so long ago, honestly, since I played there.
“The banners still hang and the memories are still there.”
