NBA news: Lakers boss Walton reveals what LeBron James and co have to do to improve
LOS ANGELES LAKERS head coach Luke Walton has revealed the aspect of his team’s game he has been most impressed with.
The Lakers are recovering after a poor start to the year, and could go 9-6 tonight as they play the Orlando Magic.
Things did not start this well for LeBron James’ side, however.
After the first three games, they were yet to win, and were 2-5 at one point.
Since signing veteran center Tyson Chandler, the Lakers are on the up.
James is starting to find his groove in Los Angeles, and the team is on a four-game win streak.
And Walton believes the team is not finished yet.
“It tells me we’re playing the way we want to play, and that’s a selfless style of basketball,” Walton said of the win streak.
“We’ve got to get better at it.
“We have too many possessions where I feel like guys are open and we don’t make that extra pass.
“But I think when you get multiple guys scoring in double-figures, it means you’re trusting your team-mates, and they’re doing a nice job of scoring when you get the opportunity.”
The Lakers take on the Orlando Magic tonight.
Tip-off is at midnight.
They will be without one of their more experienced players, however.
Rajon Rondo is missing due to injury, but the team is expected to be the same other than that.
Lonzo Ball is expected to fill in and start tonight.
