NBA news: LeBron James reveals Lakers worry, Kevin Durant to Knicks ON, Jimmy Butler claim
NBA news - Express Sport is on hand to bring you all the latest rumours and gossip coming out of the league.
LeBron James on the Lakers
LeBron James says the Los Angeles Lakers are being too unselfish following his Staples Center debut last night.
“Yeah we were a little too unselfish, but that’s good for us,” James said following the Lakers’ 113-111 loss.
“Now as we continue to learn one another we want to make the extra passes, give up a good shot for a great shot.
“Some of them we felt like we gave up the ball too much, but it’s going to be good for us in the long run.”

Kevin Durant to the Knicks?
Kevin Durant could join the New York Knicks next summer, ESPN’s Chris Haynes claims.
The Golden State Warriors star can become a free agent next year, with the Knicks and the Lakers linked with the two-time NBA champion.
And ESPN’s Haynes says the Knicks are in with a shout of signing Durant.
He said: “New York Knicks have a very good shot at luring KD away from the Bay Area.
“The same allure that LeBron had towards the Los Angeles Lakers, just the building, the culture, is the same way I know that KD feels about the Knicks.
“Golden State does have the edge because of what they’ve built.
“But the Warriors will always be Stephen Curry’s team. If he were to bold, this wouldn’t be like a situation with LeBron leaving Cleveland.
“Golden State has the edge but the Knicks will be in play.”
Jimmy Butler update
The Miami Heat are leading the race to land Jimmy Butler.
Marc Stein of the New York Times says the Minnesota Timberwolves star, who has asked to be traded, is most likely to end up in Miami.
He wrote: “I’m sticking with Miami as the most likely destination for Butler. As I reported last week, Minnesota Owner Glen Taylor has been informed that the Heat are Butler’s preferred destination, which matters in this situation because he’s going to be a free agent in July. The Heat want Butler immediately and have been trying as hard as anyone in the league to construct a trade that will satisfy the Wolves.
“Sooner rather than later, I expect Pat Riley to succeed in that quest because Taylor has to know that, deep down, trying to reintegrate Butler at this point - given all the tension in every corner of that organisation - is completely unfeasible.”
