World Cup: Keane takes swipe at Neville over defensive errors
Keane and Neville were working as pundits for ITV’s World Cup coverage of England’s third-place play-off against Belgium.
Keane was critical of England and in particular the defending of Danny Rose and Phil Jones for Belgium’s two goals in the 2-0 defeat.
Neville started to explain how as a defender you would not want to make more than four mistakes in a full season.
“I think as a defender, if you look back over a season and you play 45-50 games, you probably want to be at fault for around four goals,” Gary Neville said.

“(Ideally) none, but you’re going to make mistakes, but four goals…”
Neville was stopped in his tracks as his ex-Manchester United captain Keane gave him a wry smile while sitting next to him in the studio.
The former right-back, along with Ian Wright and Lee Dixon, burst into laughter at Keane’s reaction to Neville’s comments.
Irishman Keane said: “About 24 (mistakes) you would have been!

Earlier Keane had criticised Tottenham star Rose for "lazy defending”, with the wing-back caught out at the back post for Belgium’s opening goal.
"Really lazy defending," he said.
“When you look at Rose’s defending on top of the centre halves, he’s never going to learn about the game if he doesn’t know that at 28 years of age. He’s in trouble.”
