Cristiano Ronaldo: Real Madrid told to sign Harry Kane AND Eden Hazard to replace star
REAL MADRID should sign both Harry Kane and Eden Hazard following the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.
That is the opinion of ESPN FC pundit and former Major League Soccer star Alejandro Moreno.
Real Madrid announced this afternoon they had agreed to sell Ronaldo to Juventus.
Tottenham star Kane and Chelsea forward Hazard have both been linked with a move to the Bernabeu in the past.
And Moreno reckons Kane would be a direct replacement for Ronaldo’s goals and believes Hazard would work better with the England captain than Neymar, who is also a target of Real, would.
I believe more in Eden Hazard in the sense that he’s going to compliment Harry Kane better than Neymar would
“So all things being equal and all those names that we’ve spoken about being available, I’d go after Harry Kane,” Moreno said.
“I need somebody who can score goals. Ronaldo, with him gone, that level of productivity has also gone.
“So I’d go after Harry Kane and I’d need a playmaker behind him or alongside him.
“And if that’s the case, I don’t go after Neymar, I go after Eden Hazard.
Real Madrid fans 'want Harry Kane' says Michel Salgado
“So, at this point in their careers, I believe more in Eden Hazard in the sense that he’s going to compliment Harry Kane better than Neymar would.
“I wouldn’t have said that before the tournament, I wouldn’t gave said that before the Champions League with PSG and Neymar.
“But I’m saying that now because simply I think it is a better fit with Kane and Hazard.”
