Chelsea next manager: Antonio Conte and Maurizio Sarri confusion continues as stars return
CHELSEA players still remain in the dark over who will take pre-season training on Monday morning.
A crisis is unfolding in west London as the Blues continue to negotiate with Napoli over the release of Maurizio Sarri.
The Italian has already been replaced by Carlo Ancelotti at the Serie A outfit.
But Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is still holding out for Chelsea to pay Sarri's release clause this summer.
However, with players not at the World Cup already returning for pre-season, supporters are confused as to whether Conte remains in charge.
And according to Goal, even the Chelsea stars do not know who will take charge of training tomorrow morning.
Some playing staff returned to the club for fitness tests on Saturday, with Conte nowhere to be seen in the official club photographs.
However, a leaked picture showed the 48-year-old was in fact at Cobham with his staff yesterday.
The picture, shared on social media, shows Conte and his coaching staff posing in the middle of a training pitch.
However as mentioned, Chelsea were careful not to share any photographs of the former Juventus boss on their official website.

"The 2018/19 season is up and running!" a post on the club's Twitter page read.
"Our non-World Cup players returned to Cobham this morning, as pre-season got underway on a scorching day in Surrey.
"With the World Cup still in full flow, the numbers are diminished, but for those players who didn't feature in Russia there were plenty of smiles on show as they caught up after a few weeks' break."
