Manchester United enjoyed a successful maiden summer transfer window under the INEOS regime, strengthening Erik ten Hag's defence, midfield and attack across five new signings. Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Scott McTominay were among the high-profile departures in a clearout that helped fund a busy period of incomings.

United's new-look sporting hierarchy - Dan Ashworth, Omar Berrada, Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell - oversaw the dealings.

And they have reportedly already started moulding a plan for next summer, with further defensive and attacking reinforcements on the horizon.

According to GIVEMESPORT, United remain keen to sign a young left-back amid Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia's continued injury absence.

Diogo Dalot has started the season as Ten Hag's left-back, with Noussair Mazraoui ever-present on the right. Malacia has returned to light training back Shaw's return date is unknown.

It's claimed that Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez has admirers at Old Trafford but his £40million valuation blocked a summer approach.

Alphonso Davies is also said to be under consideration ahead of his Bayern Munich contract expiry next summer.

However, as with Leny Yoro, United are set to face daunting competition from Real Madrid, who are thought to be in the driver's seat for Davies' signature on a free transfer.

A swoop for Chelsea outcast Ben Chilwell has been rubbished, with United firmly focused on buying younger players on permanent deals.

The report adds that the Red Devils are also eyeing a youthful winger and another striker despite now boasting two long-term options in Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

Southampton's Tyler Dibling - who made his Premier League debut against United earlier this month - is said to be one to watch.

The 18-year-old has reportedly been on Ashworth's radar since his stint as Newcastle United's sporting director and fits the profile of signing INEOS are looking for.

RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is still the subject of interest from M16, and he is expected to depart for a new challenge next summer.

However, Arsenal are considered the favourites for his signature, having been Sesko's top choice before he opted to spend another season in Germany.

United will also likely invest further into their midfield if Casemiro and Christian Eriksen depart the club at the end of the season.

A return to the Champions League could financially prove crucial to the club's hopes of completing as much business as this year, with plenty of work still to be done to transform Ten Hag's squad.
