Leeds star Samuel Saiz saw red in the FA Cup defeat to Newport County
Leeds looked set to reach the FA Cup fourth round thanks to Gaetano Berardi’s long-range effort but Conor Shaughnessy's own goal and Shawn McCoulsky's late header earned Newport a famous win.
In the aftermath of McCoulsky's goal, Saiz was sent off for an alleged spit at an opposition player.
If the FA find Saiz guilty of spitting then he faces the prospect of a six-game ban, which would come as a big blow for head coach Thomas Christiansen.
But some Leeds fans took to Twitter to blame Christiansen for bringing Saiz on in the second half.
One supporter said: “He shouldn’t have been brought on, bad managerial decision.”
Another added: “This is why you don't play your strongest players but fans on here know best!"
Leeds currently occupy the final play-off spot in the Championship table but some fans are concerned by his impending absence ahead of games against Ipswich, Millwall and Hull.
A worried supporter said: “Not worried about the loss but the red card is massive for us.”

Newport claimed victory at the death
Despite Saiz, arguably, being Leeds’ star man this term, a number of fans had no sympathy for the Spaniard.
One said: “As good as Saiz is he can be very petulant at times.”
While another added: “Complete t*t!”
