Former Millwall boss Ian Holloway received a red-hot reception from Lions fans
Lions legend Neil Harris replaced Holloway and guided them back to the second tier last season.
Speaking ahead of the game, Harris said: “The fans are looking forward to it and I think we’re almost sold out.
“That goes to show how excited we are for it. The atmosphere will certainly be electric, it’ll be hostile.”
Holloway returned to QPR in November 2016 for a second spell as manager.
Millwall got one over their old boss thanks to Steve Morison’s first goal of the season.
George Saville, Lee Gregory and Jed Wallace all went close in the first half before Morison struck after the break.
Matt Smith nearly levelled late on but QPR’s woeful away form continued.
