Tottenham transfer boost as doubts arise over £19.7m striker's first-team chances
TOTTENHAM target Domenico Berardi could be heading to the Premier League as doubts grow over the Sassuolo striker's switch to Juventus, according to reports.
Domenico Berardi is reportedly wanted by Spurs and three Italian clubs
Spurs are understood to be keen on the 21-year-old but face a battle with three Italian clubs to secure his signature this summer.
It is claimed Juventus have first refusal on the forward, who boasts 14 caps for Italy's U21 side, and that they are favourites to sign him.
But, in a boost to Spurs' pursuit, Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim Berardi is rethinking a move to Turin.
However, with competition fierce, the Italian appears unwilling to risk sitting on the Serie A champions' bench.
Instead, a switch to Spurs may be more viable.
Despite signing two frontman last summer in Heung Son-Min and Clinton N'Jie, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is said to be eyeing another to accompany Harry Kane.

Saido Berahino of West Brom is another candidate to fulfil that role.
Berardi has scored just six goals for Sassuolo this season, picking up seven yellow cards and one red.
Gazzetta claim he would cost around £19.7million and that both Inter Milan and AC Milan are also eyeing the star.
