France forward Antoine Griezmann has hung up his international boots at the age of 33.

The Atletico Madrid star leaves behind an illustrious career with Les Bleus, netting 44 goals in 137 appearances and playing a pivotal role in their 2018 World Cup triumph.

Griezmann's standout performance included slotting home a crucial penalty in the 4-2 final win against Croatia in Russia.

He also clinched the Golden Boot at Euro 2016, where France were the tournament's runners-up, contributed to their 2021 Nations League victory, and featured in the 2022 World Cup final loss to Argentina.

Taking to Twitter, Griezmann said "It is with a heart full of memories that I close this chapter of my life. Thank you for this magnificent tricolour adventure and see you soon."
