Manchester United managerial target to reject Old Trafford job
RYAN GIGGS would turn down the caretaker manager role at Manchester United, according to reports.
Giggs currently operates as assistant manager under Louis van Gaal
If Louis van Gaal resigns or is sacked then Giggs would be the first man to whom the United board would turn.
But The Times are claiming that the Welshman would be ready to turn down the role unless he was promised the job permanently.
The current United assistant managed the team for the final four games of the 2013-14 season after David Moyes was sacked in April 2014.
And Express Sport understands that Jose Mourinho will take over in the summer if United do indeed finish outside of the Premier League's top four.
But Van Gaal, who is said to have offered Ed Woodward his resignation several times already this season, may not even last until the end of the season if poor results continue.
