The Sweden superstar has been linked with a move to England throughout his career but it looked as if he would never play on these shores.
But after scoring in PSG's 2-1 Champions League last-16 first-leg win over Chelsea on Tuesday, the 34-year-old suggested he was on his way to the Premier League.
"I have another three months here and then what will happen?" Ibrahimovic said, after making a point of stopping and turning back to speak to the English media at the Parc des Princes.
"Big things will happen. Let's just say I am in shape."
Ibrahimovic has scored 30 goals in 36 appearances for PSG and Sweden this seaon and will captain his country at Euro 2016 this summer.
And according to the Mirror, Mourinho could make a move to bring Ibrahimovic with him to Old Trafford.
The Portuguese boss remains close with the 6ft 5in striker from their time at Inter Milan and are said to regularly exchange text messages.
It is claimed Mourinho was trying to sign Ibrahimovic for Chelsea next season before his Stamford Bridge sacking in December.
But the Mirror say Mourinho could revive the idea at United, where executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has openly spoke about signing 'world-class' players.

The former Barcelona hitman is available on a free transfer this summer and even on his £200,000-a-week wages a one-year deal would make sense on and off the pitch.
Reports suggest Ibrahimovic has agreed a deal to join David Beckham's new Miami Major League Soccer franchise, but wants one more big move before he heads Stateside in 2018.
And Mourinho could be the man to get the best out of him in England, as he waits for the United job.
The Sun claim Mourinho has rejected at least one offer from China and one from Italy as he holds out to be Van Gaal's successor.
