United boss Van Gaal has come under increasing pressure this season, with his team producing a number of lacklustre displays.
The Red Devils have been struggling in front of goal and are currently fifth in the Premier League, 10 points behind table-topping Leicester City.
They take on Stoke at Old Trafford tonight (8.00pm), and the Potters’ striker Odemwingie believes United are there for the taking as they have lost the fear factor they once had under the Dutchman.
"They are not the club they were – they don't have the names and the quality they used to have," the 34-year-old said.
