PSG boss Laurent Blanc plots raid for Arsenal midfield star
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin.
Francis Coquelin emerged as a vital player for Arsenal
After years on the sidelines, Coquelin established himself in the heart of Arsenal's midfield with a string of excellent performances in the second half of the season.
Those displays are said to have impressed PSG boss Laurent Blanc, who is facing the possibility of losing Yohan Cabaye in the transfer window.
The Daily Star on Sunday claim that despite the 24-year-old's status at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger is likely to prefer Mikel Arteta next season which may mean Coquelin is open to a move.
Arsenal have been linked with a host of defensive midfielders including Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin and AS Monaco's Geoffrey Kondogbia.
