Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici takes to Twitter after Arsenal blunder
ADAM FEDERICI has apologised to Reading fans on Twitter for his goalkeeping error against Arsenal on Saturday.
Adam Federici let Alexis Sanchez's shot spill over the goal line at Wembley
The Royals stopper let an Alexis Sanchez shot through his grasp in extra time of their FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
Arsenal clung on to win the game 2-1 and secure a final date with Aston Villa later this month.
But they were pushed hard against Championship side Reading and Federici believes the game would have gone to penalties were it not for his mistake.
He tweeted: "Just like to say thank you for all your messages and how sorry I am for my mistake, we gave our all and deserved to at least take it pens.
"It's part of being a goalkeeper and I'm sure it will make me stronger! Thank you again for your amazing support."

Reading have little to play for for the rest of the season, with just four games remaining in the Championship.
They can mathematically be relegated to League One but are unlikely to befall that fate.
As for Arsenal, they now have six games to secure Champions League football for next season and will try to fend off Manchester United and Manchester City for second place.
