CONFIRMED: Arsenal flop Nicklas Bendtner finally earns LORD title
NICKLAS BENDTNER has long been known to football fans the world over as the Lord, but now his title is official.
Nicklas Bendtner can now officially claim the title 'lord' as he owns land in Scotland
The Wolfsburg striker can now legitimately claim the title after Danish magazine SE Og HOR bought him land in Scotland.
The publication splashed out on one square foot of land in Glencoe Wood, in the Scottish Highlands, entitling him to the honour .
The news is said to have delighted Bendtner, according to his agent Elisa Lykke, who has asked for the receipt for the land.
She said: "We have seen it, and Nicklas thinks it's a fun gimmick.
Bendtner has managed just one goal for Wolfsburg this season
We have asked to be sent a receipt and we are pleased that it supports a nature conservation area
"We have asked to be sent a receipt and we are pleased that it supports a nature conservation area."
However, the nickname, although now official, still puzzles the Wolfsburg striker.
He told German Publication Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung: "The problem with this [nickname] is that I do not know where it comes from and understand if it is funny.
"Am I being ridiculed? Is it serious? I think it is a phenomenon of the youth [on social media]. They think that sounds good."
Bendtner left Arsenal permanently last year, joining Bundesliga club Wolfsburg on a three-year-deal, where he has managed just one league goal.
