Bayern Munich star Harry Kane has earned his living through his prolific finishing and world-class link-up play.

And off the pitch, the England international has put his finances to good use and developed himself a ‘secret side business’ which sees him pocket a healthy amount each month on top of his salary at the Allianz Arena.

Kane was named in the Sunday Times’ ’40 Under 40’ Rich List earlier this week in an achievement which highlighted the ex-Tottenham captain’s overwhelming wealth, joining golf star Rory McIlroy and Formula One’s Lewis Hamilton on the list.

He was placed in 35th position, with his wealth exceeding the £56million threshold to break into the top 40.

Kane is said to have a value of £76m, increasing from his £51m net worth last year. The England skipper’s salary with Bayern is credited as being a core contributor to that price, though his ‘side business’ in the world of property has also played a key role in his financial success.

With his brother and agent Charlie, Kane has developed a mammoth property portfolio operating under the company name of Edward James Investments. According to The Sun, the business has a portfolio worth, as of February 2023, approximately £13.1m.

Twelve months later, Kane may have invested further into the market to grow his wealth further though it is unclear whether the 31-year-old has been focused on settling into life in Germany during that time more than his ‘side hustle’.

The striker enjoyed a sensational debut campaign in the Bundesliga following his departure from Spurs last summer, scoring 37 goals in 30 appearances. With a further three years on his contract at Bayern, Kane will have his sights set on winning trophies in Germany and enhancing his legacy away from the Premier League.

However, a return to England certainly won’t be ruled out given the sheer volume of properties that Kane has in the country and the fact he's teased a desire to play late into his 30s.

Kane is not the first player to dive into the world of property alongside their footballing careers, with many players purchasing several houses around Europe to retain their wealth and ensure that they have holiday homes available at the drop of a hat.
