Jurgen Klopp shows how he really feels about Arne Slot replacing him at Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp spoke about Arne Slot as he said an emotional goodbye to Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp gave his seal of approval to incoming Liverpool boss Arne Slot after taking to the Anfield dugout for the very last time. The Reds gave Klopp the perfect send-off with a comfortable victory over Wolves on the final day of the Premier League season thanks to goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Jarell Quansah.
Klopp delivered an emotional speech after the final whistle as he reflected on his nine-year tenure and thanked Liverpool fans for their unwavering support. At one point, he confirmed Slot's impending arrival and welcomed the Dutchman's appointment as he led the crowd through a chant of: "Arne Slot, na na, na na na na!"
The German also urged Liverpool fans to be 'all in from the first day' behind Slot, who will join the club after leading Feyenoord to their best-ever Eredivisie points total. He went on to treat all four sides of the ground to his trademark fist-pumps, with the crowd lapping up every moment as they said goodbye to one of the club's greatest managers.
Concluding his farewell speech, Klopp added: "For whatever reason, I don’t know, it doesn’t feel like an end. It just feels like a start because I saw a football team full of youth, creativity, greed. That’s one part of development.
"That’s what you need but obviously since a few weeks I got too much attention, but I realised a lot of things. People tell me I turned them from doubters into believers. That’s not true. You did that. Nobody tells you know to stop believing.
"This club is in a better moment than, not ever, well maybe ever, I’ll have to ask Kenny [Dalglish]. We have this wonderful stadium, this wonderful training centre. And we have you, the superpower of world football. Since today I am one of you and I keep believing in you, I stay a believer, 100 per cent.

"I saw a lot of people crying and it will happen to be tonight because I will miss people, but change is good. You never know what to expect but if you go with the right attitude into everything will be fine because the basics are there with the team and the new coach."
Klopp managed to stop the tears from flowing but the same could not be said for his wife, Ulla, who looked emotional in the stands at the end of the game. She was spotted wiping her eyes as the Anfield crowd serenaded her husband before the full-time whistle, which marked the end of his Liverpool career.
