Salah heads Premier League players in AFCON and Asian Cup
Mohamed Salah will take a break from scoring goals for Liverpool over the next few weeks as the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) gets underway in the Ivory Coast. The winger will have national glory firmly in his mind after Egypt just missed out in the 2021 final, losing in a penalty shoot-out to Sadio Mane's Senegal. He is one of several Premier League stars who will represent their countries at Africa's most prestigious tournament.
It will be contested by 24 nations in front of some of the most passionate and colourful supporters in the world. Express Sport has all the details you need, so you won't miss a second of the action.
