Lazio staff stormed the pitch to celebrate as goalkeeper Ivan Provedel scored an epic 95th-minute equaliser in the Italian club's opening Champions League match with Atletico Madrid. The visitors had been on their way to a crucial three points before the stopper charged up the pitch and rescued a 1-1 draw with a stoppage-time header that sent the Stadio Olimpico wild.
A corner had initially been cleared with time running out for Lazio, before Provedel latched onto a cross as he got to the ball before his opposite number and his bullet header sent the crowd into raptures.
The Stadio Olimpico celebrated wildly as Provedel could not believe that he had scored his side's dramatic late equaliser, sprinting to the middle of the pitch back towards his own goal as staff members could be seen charging on to the pitch and towards the centre-circle as the referee blew the full-time whistle.
Pablo Barrios had given the visitors their initial lead in the 29th minute, with the Serie A side hoping to claim what would be a vital point in a group alongside Celtic and Feyenoord. A point against the group favourites is a positive outcome thanks to their goalkeeper.

Provedel became just the fourth goalkeeper in the tournament's history to score a goal - and only the second in open play having beaten Jan Oblak in the Atletico goal.
The Italian was somehow able to regain his composure in his celebrations, however, pushing away his team-mates as he travelled back to the other end of the pitch - perhaps worried that Atletico could score from the resulting kick-off. But his spectacular goal was the final moment of the match.

Provedel became the first goalkeeper to score in the Champions League since Vincent Enyeama in 2010 for Hapoel Tel Aviv against Lyon when he slotted home from the penalty spot.
Hans-Jorg Butt scored goals for three different German clubs during his Champions League career, while Sinan Bolat equalised for Standard Liege with a header against AZ Alkmaar in 2009. He was previously the only goalkeeper ever to score from open play in the tournament's history.
In the other game in Group E on Tuesday night, Celtic endured a nightmare start to their European campaign as they went down to nine men against Feyenoord and ultimately suffered a 2-0 defeat.
