Man Utd transfer news: Erik ten Hag is hoping for late business (Image: GETTY)
Manchester United will turn their focus back to the transfer market after Saturday's dramatic comeback win over Nottingham Forest. Erik ten Hag is still hoping to complete business in and out of Old Trafford before Friday's deadline.
United came back from two goals down to beat Forest 3-2. Ten Hag started the match without a recognised left-back due to the injury suffered by Luke Shaw.
The Red Devils will attempt to bring in reinforcement on the left of defence, with a couple of Premier League stars eyed. United are also closing in on the signing of a back-up goalkeeper and a deal could be announced imminently.
There is still the possibility of late exits, with Donny van de Beek and Eric Bailly among those out of Ten Hag's plans. Departures may see United finally push through with a move for a midfielder, with Sofyan Amrabat the top target.

According to Fabrizio Romano, both Manchester United and Liverpool have asked to be informed on Ryan Gravenberch's situation until the end of the window, in case Bayern Munich will allow him to leave.
The Dutchman is facing an uncertain future at the Allianz Arena with plenty of interest from around the footballing globe.
When asked about his next steps recently, he said: "I don‘t know what will happen in the next days."
Manchester United target Marc Cucurella has had a torrid time since joining Chelsea from Brighton last summer for £62m. Many fans are concerned about United's interest in the Spaniard given his dip in form and recent comments from the left-back suggesting that the pressure of playing for a big club may have affected his game, won't do much to instil confidence in the Red Devils faithful.
"I play all my career in a [smaller] club so we don't have this pressure," Cucurella told ESPN in July. "When you come to these big clubs, you feel this pressure and sometimes it is not easy to play with this pressure because you know you need to win every game.
"Sometimes you need to adapt as well to these situations, but this is part of life. Sometimes you have good years, bad years, but the most important thing is to learn and have energy to improve."
According to Spanish publication Fichajes, Manchester United have offered Anthony Martial to Real Madrid in a loan-to-buy deal.
The report claims Los Blancos are keen on acquiring the Frenchman's services. Martial has one year remaining on his contract with the option to extend if by a further year.
The Athletic says it is viewed as 'impossible' for Onana to play for his country anytime soon.
Onana would have missed four Premier League matches between January and February next year if he went to the tournament.
That would have handed an opportunity to Altay Bayindir, the goalkeeper United are set to sign from Fenerbahce, but he will now remain second choice for that period.
