Tottenham fall victim to Rasmus Hojlund transfer as Harry Kane sets Bayern Munich deadline
Tottenham could be forced to explore the market for Harry Kane replacements if the England captain secures a transfer to Bayern Munich in the coming weeks.

One of Tottenham's leading targets to potentially replace Harry Kane is now the subject of fresh transfer discussions with Paris Saint-Germain. Spurs are understood to have lodged initial interest in Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani after holding dialogue with his representatives.

But Hojlund snubbed the chance to discuss terms with PSG and instead held out for United to agree a fee with Atalanta as he prepares to undergo a medical at Carrington.
The twist has now worked against Tottenham as PSG are prioritising a deal for Kolo Muani who has unfinished business in Ligue 1 following his time with Nantes.
Frankfurt are looking for a huge fee worth in the region of £70m to agree to a sale and Spurs could have cash to hand if they reluctantly agree to Kane's departure.
The striker domino is becoming a common factor in this summer's transfer market as Bayern Munich have also looked at signing Kolo Muani before deciding to push ahead with a move for Kane.

Spurs have also now discovered that Kane would be prepared to stay in north London if Bayern can't agree a deal before Tottenham's season-opener at Brentford on August 13.
The development has now put extra pressure on Spurs to sell because if they don't, they're running the risk of losing Kane on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.
Daniel Levy wants to avoid that at all costs but he is still cautiously optimistic that Kane could be enticed into a new contract at Spurs.
Ange Postecoglou is determined to continue working with the player but Kane has offered no assurances he will be staying put - until this latest faint glimmer of hope.

Tottenham have also been looking at other forward targets including Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson.
The 22-year-old is tied down to a long-term contract at the City Ground but could be available for the right price.
Spurs are only likely to pursue a move if they do sell Kane but even still, Johnson is unlikely to be the man deemed capable of replacing the prolific goalscorer.
Tottenham's insurance option would be to stick with Richarlison as he could be handed a starting berth as Postecoglou's main man in attack.
