Man Utd red flags raised for Rasmus Hojlund transfer - ‘Not in Erling Haaland’s league’
Manchester United transfer target Rasmus Hojlund has been compared to Erling Haaland amid Erik ten Hag's desire to bring the Atalanta star to the Premier League.
Manchester United have been told Rasmus Hojlund ‘isn’t in the same league as Erling Haaland’ as they look to sign the Atalanta striker this summer. Erik ten Hag is keen on the Denmark international as he looks to acquire an upgrade on Anthony Martial. However, any deal would certainly represent a risk.
Manchester United are pursuing a deal for Hojlund, with the 20-year-old now represented by the same agency as manager Ten Hag.
But a seasoned scout has now expressed some doubts to The Mirror.
“We looked at Hojlund some time ago when he was coming through the Danish international age groups and while he was at Copenhagen and Sturm Graz,” they’re quoted as saying.
“He was worth a punt but the money being asked now would represent a much greater risk” he says.
“He’s still unproven and the Premier League is a very unforgiving place especially if you’re in a Manchester United shirt.
