As things stand, it’s unclear what team James Maddison will be playing for next season. However, a childhood photo of the England international suggests Manchester United would be in pole position if they decided to launch a bid. Mason Mount appears to be their priority, though, which has given Newcastle and Tottenham a big advantage.
Manchester United have emerged as potential suitors for Maddison in the wake of Leicester’s heartbreaking relegation to the Championship.
As things stand, however, it’s Tottenham and Newcastle who appear likelier to swoop for the midfielder.
Maddison is wanted by both teams and recently started for England in a 4-0 victory over Malta.
However, while United are yet to make a bid for the playmaker, interest at Old Trafford still remains.
Chelsea are being stubborn in negotiations for Mount, with the Blues looking for as much money as possible to let their academy graduate leave Stamford Bridge.

And while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was backed, even he wasn’t able to get all the players he wanted.
Regarding Maddison, meanwhile, the Leicester star recently admitted he found the end of the season ‘tough’.
Speaking while on England duty, he said: "It’s a pause and put the blinkers on and focus on the job at hand.
"It was a tough end to the season but the positive about the games with England after having a little bit of a break between the last game of the Premier League season and now, it was good to refocus on these games, if it was straight away it would have been more difficult.
“I am fully focused on tonight and raring to go."

Former United star Louis Saha has warned his old side against a move for Maddison, however.
He said recently: "I have a lot of respect for James Maddison and it’s a shame to see him playing in this current Leicester City side that have really struggled this season.
"As a Manchester United fan, I want the club to have players that have full confidence in themselves and I believe James is a player that could have an impact at the club.
"He’s a top player but I’m not sure he’s a player that will play for Manchester United week in, week out.
