Manchester United fans have objected to Avram Glazer attending Saturday’s FA Cup final showdown with Manchester City. The American is planning to watch the match at Wembley as takeover talk continues to surround the club. And it’s unclear if this will be his last act of power at Old Trafford, with Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe eager to acquire the club.
Glazer has attended two United matches at Wembley this season, expensing the club a total of £500,000 in the process.
And The Athletic say the American businessman is poised to travel to the capital once again to watch the Red Devils lock horns with City.
Glazer previously journeyed to England via private jet and he is ‘expected to travel the same way’ for the match with Pep Guardiola’s side.
The 62-year-old can expect a hostile reception, however.
And fans have taken to social media to slam Glazer over his plans, making it crystal clear how much they object.
“Vile cretin,” were the words of Twitter user @GreggHearn.

“Disgusting human being, an absolute stain on society and Manchester United,” said a furious @JoeBotters.
“Stop posting his face. I hate that face,” said @waniuzair000.
“Man do us a favor (sic) and stay at yo home you useless fraud,” @UTDPiPi responded.
“Very useless family, hopefully it’s his last cos knowing they still at my club kills me,” said @Fantenyiba_KAY.
“Wish they would hurry up & do one. Been stinking our club out for years,” opined @GraemeInguygp.

The Glazers confirmed back in November they were open to selling United, having been in charge since 2005.
However, as Saturday’s showdown with City moves closer, it’s unclear what will actually happen.
Ratcliffe seems to be the frontrunner to buy United, with the INEOS chief hoping to succeed having previously missed out on Chelsea.
He’s willing to let the Glazers stay in reduced roles, however, something that has already sparked a backlash.
Sheikh Jassim only wants 100 per cent control of the club.

But he’s yet to hear back from the Glazers, having lodged a fourth bid for the Red Devils a fortnight ago.
It’s also possible the Glazers will choose to reject a takeover altogether to extend their stay at the club.
Minority investment hasn’t been ruled out, with firms such as Elliot Management and Carlyle Group ready to provide funds.
But nothing will be announced before the match with City and the club remains in a state of flux.
Meanwhile, addressing Glazer’s decision to expense flights, football finance expert Kieran Maguire has taken aim at the family as a whole.
“The Glazer family have always adopted a parasitical approach to football ownership,” he told Football Insider.
“It manifests itself in the fact that Avram Glazer is more than happy to watch Man United play at Wembley for the glamorous matches.
“Yet he shows very little interest in attending matches on a regular basis.
“The Glazers have made so much money from Man United that the £500,000 that has been spent on arranging flights just shows that they are a family of no style and no substance.
“The rates are well in excess of standard market rates.”
