Murtough ‘wants to know the numbers involved on fees and wages ahead of the market opening’.
And Hojlund and Kolo Muani are on the club’s radar after impressing for Atalanta and Eintracht Frankfurt this season.
Ten Hag and his recruitment staff are operating on a basis of ‘business as usual’, despite takeover uncertainty surrounding the club.
Hojlund is said to be the likelier signing of the pair, with Atalanta open to cutting the youngster loose for the right price this summer.
United previously dealt with the Serie A giants when landing Amad back in the January transfer window of 2021.
Man Utd 'set to give Harry Maguire huge pay out to leave’ as Erik ten Hag sets sale price
Manchester United are set to pay Harry Maguire a huge £10million to leave the club, according to reports. Erik ten Hag has failed to take to the England international, who is currently behind the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof in the club’s pecking order. The Red Devils star cost £80m back in the summer transfer window of 2019 - but now faces being offloaded for more than half that amount.
Hojlund is also represented by SEG, the same agency which Ten Hag is part of.
The 20-year-old has bagged eight goals and clocked up two assists in Serie A this season and has also been linked with Premier League rivals such as Chelsea and Tottenham.
As for Kolo Muani, Frankfurt may demand as much as £68.7million to part ways with the youngster.
This, it’s claimed, would ‘stretch United’s finances’ - with Hojlund apparently the cheaper of the pair.
The report says Napoli star Victor Osimhen has also been scouted by the club. While that’s the case, however, the Nigeria international may also be beyond their reach with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis eager to keep his star man at the Diego Maradona Stadium for another year.
