Harry Kane dodges Man Utd transfer question after hitting Tottenham landmark again
Harry Kane was asked about his transfer plans following Tottenham's win over Leeds.

Tottenham star Harry Kane refused to discuss his future amid links to Manchester United, with just over one year left on his contract in north London. The England captain scored twice in the 4-1 victory away to Leeds which confirmed the hosts' relegation, as he was questioned over whether it would be his last Spurs game after once again scoring 30 goals in a Premier League season.
Kane also reached 30 league goals in the 2017/18 campaign, while there have only been 12 previous occasions that a player has hit that tally in the league - with Erling Haaland also reaching and surpassing that total this year.
But when quizzed on a potential transfer to United, Kane responded: "A club this size should not be finishing eighth. We need to go away and look how we can improve. It is part and parcel of being a footballer (speculation about him leaving), especially when you are at the top of your game. I am just looking forward to a nice break and some games with England.
"It has been a disappointing season. We can’t let this win dust over that. A lot to work on. We have had to show fight in some moments. A club this size should not be finishing eighth and we need to go away enjoy a break and look how we can improve."

If it was Kane's final game in a Spurs shirt then he signed off in typical fashion, having put Leeds to the sword in another stunning performance by the 29-year-old. It is the type of performance that United will be hoping he can produce for them next season, though he will likely fetch in the region of £100m and the Red Devils are aware that Spurs chief Daniel Levy is a tough negotiator.
United are hoping to land a marquee striker such as Kane or Napoli's Victor Osimhen for boss Erik ten Hag going into next year and can offer the England man the chance to remain in the Champions League, while Spurs will not be playing any European football after an eighth-placed finish.

"We were playing for pride today," Kane added. "We also had the chance to finish seventh but that wasn’t the case today. It is about showing the fans some fight and determination.
"It is not an easy place to come away from home. Leeds are fighting for their lives and we put in a great performance. They put a lot of balls into the box and we stood up to that well.
"We were in the lead the week before and didn’t finish out the game. When it went 2-1, credit to the boys for staying in the moment. Getting the third goal helped and killed the game off. Overall, we can go away happy."
