Casemiro lifts the lid on teammates
Manchester United are facing a fight to keep hold of Casemiro with Bayern Munich eyeing the midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports. The Red Devils star has flourished ever since his arrival from Real Madrid. And he’s expected to start when his side face off against Tottenham in the Premier League on Thursday night.
Manchester United signed Casemiro as an alternative to Frenkie de Jong, with the Samba star opting to leave Real Madrid for a new challenge in England.
And he’s been impressive ever since, winning the trust of Erik ten Hag and becoming one of the Dutchman’s most important players at the club.
Now, however, Kicker via Fussball Transfers say United are facing a fight to keep hold of Casemiro come the end of the season.
Bayern Munich are keen to overhaul their squad, with the Bundesliga giants enduring a horrendous start to the Thomas Tuchel era.
And the Bundesliga giants are courting the United star in the hope they’ll be able to bring him to the Allianz Arena once the current campaign is done and dusted.
Bayern know they need to bolster their ranks to give Tuchel every chance of succeeding in the long run.

The German is apparently keen on bringing in a new defensive-midfielder, believing his side are lacking in that department.
And Casemiro has ‘all the qualities’ Tuchel likes in a player as he looks to make Bayern a formidable force on the domestic and European scene once again.
While Bayern want the United star, however, it’s hard to see Ten Hag letting the player go.
Casemiro is, simply put, too important to lose. The club have needed a player like him for years, and now they finally have one.
United do, however, plan on signing a midfielder of their own as the summer transfer window creeps closer.
Three players seem to be on Ten Hag’s radar at the current moment in time, starting with De Jong.
The Barcelona star has long made it abundantly clear how happy he is at the Nou Camp, having been at the club ever since arriving from Ajax in 2019.
Yet United retain an interest, with Ten Hag previously coaxing the best from the Netherlands international during their spell in Amsterdam together.
Jude Bellingham is also a player of interest, having sparkled for Borussia Dortmund this season.
United previously had hoped to land the 19-year-old back in the summer transfer window of 2020, when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was manager, only to miss out.
Yet with Champions League football to offer, and a potential takeover on the cards, the Red Devils are primed to pursue Bellingham again this year.
While that’s the case, however, Manchester City and Real Madrid seem likelier suitors for the England international at the current moment in time.
