Sadio Mane's team-mates 'expect Bayern Munich to axe suspended star' over Leroy Sane scrap
Former Liverpool star Sadio Mane reportedly had a fight with Bayern Munich team-mate Leroy Sane after their Champions League quarter-final first-leg defeat to Manchester City.
The team-mates argued on the pitch in the 83rd minute as Bayern struggled to find a response to City in the last eight tie. The row continued in the dressing room when a scrap between the former Premier League stars resulted in Sane being left with a bloodied lip, according to Bild.
The pair's argument supposedly started after Mane made a run in behind instead of offering to come short for a Sane pass, which prompted the former City star to give his Bayern team-mate an earful. A fiery discussion is claimed to have followed in the dressing room after the game before a scrap erupted.
Bayern's stars were set to meet for the first time since the defeat today (Thursday) and reports in Germany suggests that Mane will apologise to his colleagues for his behaviour. However, the apology might not be enough after Bayern executives reportedly met on Wednesday to debrief after a terrible defeat and the incident that followed.
Sky Sports' reporter Florian Plettenberg said: "It will go beyond a fine. FC Bayern must set an example. With Thomas Tuchel, they have brought in a coach under whom this should not happen. I don't believe in a future for Sadio Mane beyond the summer at FC Bayern."

After arriving back in Germany disgraced Mane reportedly travelled back from the airport in a private car, while Sane supposedly took the team bus with the rest of his colleagues. Plettenberg added: "There are many players who are critical of Mane. They assume that Mane will no longer play for FC Bayern. It's bubbling in the management floor."
Mane being forced out of Bayern could be music to the ears of Liverpool who have struggled for league form since the Senegalese forward left Anfield last summer. The Reds had constantly been challenging for Premier League and Champions League honours with Mane alongside Mohamed Salah, so would welcome his return if a deal became possible.
