'We have to show great respect for our fans,' says Tottenham's Conte
Antonio Conte will undoubtedly have kept his beady eye on the World Cup in search of inspiration ahead of the January transfer window. With a host of breakthrough stars and impressive performers to choose from, Express Sport takes you through four players Tottenham could pounce on after the New Year...
Although not the most glamorous name in Morocco's historic World Cup run, Amrabat may well be the key to the Atlas Lions' success. Anchoring the midfield, he shut down Spain and Portugal with his superb defensive know-how and composure on the ball.
Conte reportedly tried to sign him in January this year and he is expected to try his luck again once the window reopens, despite Fiorentina claiming that they are in no mood to sell. Spurs could face stiff competition, however, amid claims that Liverpool have already scheduled a round of talks with the 26-year-old's entourage for after the World Cup.

Denzel Dumfries
The flying right-back was fairly well-known heading to Qatar but his stock has risen even further with a series of eye-catching performances for the Netherlands. None more so than against the USA in the Round of 16, in which he notched a goal and two assists from defence.
Dumfries' attacking prowess would make him an ideal fit for Conte's system, which utilises athletic wing-backs to bomb up and down the flanks. Although the Dutch eventually crashed out on penalties to Argentina, his price tag is now expected to exceed £50million.

Another player Conte has previously shown an interest in, Kim's star has risen startlingly quickly since venturing away from Asian club football for the first time just last year. A single season at Fenerbahce earned him a move to Napoli during the summer, where he has already impressed and earned interest from the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Spurs may therefore have their work cut out convincing the 26-year-old to come to north London, not to mention the mammoth spend that could be required to beat the competition. In Qatar, Kim was a mainstay of the South Korea side that made it to the Round of 16 stage, before being knocked out by Brazil.

Andreas Skov Olsen
The Danish forward initially made a name for himself rising through the ranks as a goal-scoring teenager with Nordsjaelland, before spending two-and-a-half seasons with Bologna. Now with Club Brugge and having rediscovered his scoring touch, Spurs are rumoured to be interested ahead of the January window.
Although Denmark broadly disappointed by failing to make it out of Group D, Skov Olsen was their dangerman up top. At 6ft 2in tall and still just 22 years old, Conte could be wise to make a move for the youngster, who still has plenty of growing room to make an impact at the top level.
