Pep Guardiola admits his Man City side are 'far away' from perfection
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has insisted he “doesn’t believe” Jurgen Klopp’s comments that Liverpool are out of the Premier League title race. The Reds trail City by nine points but kept the pressure on their rivals by beating Leicester City 2-0 on Thursday night.

“We showed that against Leicester - we showed we are not allowed to take anything for granted.”
Liverpool have played one game fewer than the Citizens and still have the opportunity to take three points off the runaway leaders when they travel to the Etihad Stadium in April.
If the Merseysiders can win their game in hand and then stun City in Manchester, they would be right back in the contest, providing they can keep their winning streak going away from those encounters.
And Guardiola has insisted that the title race is far from decided.

“Just I don’t believe him,” Guardiola said ahead of City’s trip to Norwich.
“Absolutely [it’s possible for Liverpool to win the title] and he thinks the same, otherwise he wouldn’t be the competitor that he is. Of course he believes.
“In football, everything can happen. He knows that he has to win a lot of games like we know we have to win a lot of games to fight to be champions again.”
City have dominated English football since they appointed Guardiola as their manager in 2016.

Since guiding his team to third place in his first campaign in charge, the Spaniard has led City to four Premier League titles in five seasons.
In the only campaign City weren’t successful in their title endeavours, Liverpool were crowned Premier League champions for the first time in their history.
The Reds appeared to be right in the title race this season until they dropped seven points in three games over the festive period.
But Klopp will surely now be focusing his attentions on helping his side put a run of wins together to keep their hopes of winning a second title in three seasons well and truly alive.
