Conte outlines what Tottenham can achieve before end of season
After holding swap deal talks with Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham have also taken part in discussions with Roma over potentially reuniting Tanguy Ndombele with former boss Jose Mourinho, according to reports in Italy. The disinterested Frenchman is seemingly keen on a new challenge after failing to establish himself as a regular starter under Antonio Conte after the Italian replaced Nuno Espirito Santo in November.
Ndombele has not featured since he stormed straight down the tunnel after being subbed off in the second half of Spurs' 3-1 FA Cup win over Morecambe.
Conte is understood to have been told to leave Ndombele out of the side by those upstairs at the club, something he revealed after the Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg defeat to Chelsea.
Yet Ndombele has not been short of interest this month, despite little progress so far during club-to-club discussions.
Napoli were initially keen on a loan deal while Juventus have also explored a move.

Reports emerged yesterday that PSG were working on a swap deal that would see Ndombele link up with the coach that brought him to Tottenham; Mauricio Pochettino.
It's believed PSG have tried to send midfielder Leandro Paredes the other way as part of the deal.
Tottenham are yet to green-light the move though as Ndombele waits for clarity on his future.
However, a new development has now emerged with Spurs said to be talking with another club.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham have discussed another potential swap deal with Roma.
Former Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout, who is rated highly by Conte, could head the other way to north London as part of the deal.
Talks are now ongoing between all parties, as Tottenham target reinforcements ahead of the second half of the campaign.
It would not be the first time technical director Fabio Paratici has brokered a swap deal since he arrived at the club.
