As a result of that run, United are currently slumped in sixth spot in the league and already look a million miles off of the standard set by Chelsea, who are the current league leaders.
And Bolt has given his verdict on United's struggles this term, admitting that an over-reliance on Cristiano Ronaldo and a slow, ponderous style of play has hampered any hopes of mounting a sustained title challenge this year.
“We are going to struggle. Cristiano [Ronaldo] has saved us every game,“ Bolt told The National. “One guy has to do all that work.

“We have not played good football in so long. It is so relaxed. We pass so slowly. When Alex Ferguson was manager, we had to win because he would demand you win.”
United's awful run of results and two humiliating results in quick succession against rivals Liverpool and Manchester has seen speculation over Solskjaer's future intensify in recent weeks.
But one man who is no longer in the frame to step in if Solskjaer is axed is Conte.
The Italian was rumoured to be United's top choice to replace Solskjaer before he was handed a brief reprieve as the Glazers pondered his long-term position.
Conte was been appointed as Tottenham's new head coach earlier this month - and Bolt believes United could regret their decision to pass on the fiery ex-Chelsea chief.
“I wanted Conte,” Bolt added. “He is going to do so well at Spurs. He is going to get them organised.
“He has been at Chelsea – he won a title. He’s been at Inter Milan – he’s won a title. He’s been at Juve – he’s won a title.
“Everywhere he goes, he structures the team so well. In January, he is probably going to get one or two players, then at the end of the season he is probably going to find proper players and bring them in.”
