The United boss has until now left it to players personal choice to decide whether or not to get jabbed.
But with the new season just over a week away Solskjaer will hold a meeting with his squad to reinforce the message to those concerned about how it might affect their fitness.
“We’ve informed them and some of them are already fully vaccinated, some are not sure,” said Solskjaer.
“But we’re going to have a bigger session with them now because I think it’s important that everyone knows what it’s about.”

“The Preston thing was a testing mistake because all nine tested positive and then next day when we did a proper PCR test they were negative,” he said.
“But if that happened the day before the first league game that would be a problem.
“It cost us preparation time. It cost us a couple of days away from the training ground.

“We have to be really careful because if they spend too long in a place then they might catch something so we’ve got to be really careful.”
Solskjaer called for patience from fans if players refuse requests for photos or autographs.
“We want to do it but we can’t because if you catch something here it’s a four game ban. That’s hard for us,” he said.
