Tammy Abraham: All you need to know about Arsenal target
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has found himself at serious risk of repeating a transfer mistake that former manager Arsene Wenger made during his time at the Gunners. Arteta is stepping up his summer business having already added Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares to his squad.
One of his priorities for the summer was upgrading his options at striker, after Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failed to fire last season.
Lacazette scored only 13 goals in the Premier League, with Aubameyang managing just 10 in the top-flight.
Those figures are not enough for a leading forward in a club with top four aspirations, leading Arteta to look to the market for new options.
Emerging as the leading candidate for Arteta is Chelsea hitman Tammy Abraham, who has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge.
Reports in recent days have surfaced which suggest that the Blues are ready to loan the Englishman out to the Gunners.

His career at Stamford Bridge appears to be at an end, with Thomas Tuchel keen to sign a new striker this summer.
In what was one of the more surprising decisions of his early tenure, Tuchel shunned Abraham, consistently leaving him on the bench or even out of the matchday squad altogether.
That came after a season in which he had been Chelsea’s top scorer, notching 15 goals as the Blues secured Champions League football under Frank Lampard.
Though he was again the club’s leading scorer for much of last season, Abraham found himself behind Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and even Olivier Giroud in the pecking order.

The Englishman joined Arsenal on summer transfer deadline day in 2015, in a £16million move, with Van Gaal admitting he had allowed him to leave because he did not have a strong scoring record.
Welbeck’s time at Arsenal was hampered by injury, but Van Gaal’s point about his goals proved to be correct, with the attacker scoring only 16 times in 88 appearances.
Having been sidelined for a significant portion of his Arsenal stay, Welbeck was allowed to join Watford in 2019.
His move to the Emirates certainly did not work out as hoped and Arteta must be wary of committing a similar mistake with Abraham.
