Man Utd: Transfer target Camavinga’s perfect assist Vs PSG
Manchester United are unlikely to sign Eduardo Camavinga, it has been claimed. The Rennes midfielder has been linked with a move to Old Trafford over the past few days. But while the club were ‘upset’ about missing out on Jude Bellingham 12 months ago, they’re supposedly not primed to rectify that mistake.
It emerged over the weekend that United were interested in Camavinga.
Reports surfaced claiming the Red Devils were due to talk to the France international’s entourage this week as they look to make him their second signing of the summer after Jadon Sancho.
It was also said that United were ready to fight Paris Saint-Germain for the 18-year-old, despite a move to the Parc des Princes currently being his priority.
But Eurosport’s Dean Jones, speaking on The Football Terrace podcast, has now insisted that’s unlikely to happen.
And that’s despite United being left ‘upset’ after being rebuffed by Bellingham 12 months ago.

“You’re telling me after everything that’s gone on with Jadon Sancho they’re then on the side going to pay £100million on a deal that hasn’t been talked about until now,” he told The Football Terrace.
“I think that price, for a player who’s got just a year left on his contract, how is that going to be a thing?
“Obviously look, Camavinga is one of the best teenage talents in world football.
“United would have been scouting him for a while. They were upset they didn’t get Jude Bellingham, they were convinced that was going to happen.
“This is all about that next gen thing. Any club of United’s size are looking at these players all the time, they have to be kept in the loop on what is happening, particularly when it comes to a point when he’s going to be leaving.

But a parting of the ways could now be on the cards, with the Red Devils seen as frontrunners in the race to secure his signature.
Kieran Trippier, of Atletico Madrid, has also been tipped to join.
And the England international is expected to start for his country against Germany at Euro 2020 tonight as Gareth Southgate looks to steer his side into the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, regarding Camavinga, the midfielder’s agent Jonathan Barnett said in February he’d go on to become one of the best players on the planet.
"At the moment, he's a Rennes player," Barnett told Goal.
