Arsenal: Arteta details plan to return to top four
Arsenal have stepped up their interest in Norwich City star Emiliano Buendia if recent reports are to be believed. Arsenal are claimed to have made a £30million offer for Buendia, who was voted the Championship player of the season. However, Aston Villa have also matched the bid.
Buendia scored 15 goals and registered 16 assists in 39 Championship appearances this season as the Canaries got promoted back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Last week, Norwich sporting director Stuart Webber claimed they would have to receive a club-record fee to sell the likes of Buendia.
The highest fee Norwich have ever received for a player is £25m, when Ben Godfrey moved to Everton last summer.
"If we do sell one, it's going to be a club record deal," Webber said.
