Tottenham star Harry Kane told Jose Mourinho he wanted to leave the club as the 58-year-old was packing his bags, according to reports. The 58-year-old was sacked last month, just days before their Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City. And their star striker may not follow him out of the exit door.
Kane wants to leave, having informed Daniel Levy of his decision. He agreed to stay last year and believes he has a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ that enables him to depart this summer.
As things stand, suitors aren’t exactly in short supply.
Manchester United have refused to rule out a bid, especially with the Red Devils recently tying Edinson Cavani down to a new contract.
Manchester City are in the hunt and seem to be Kane’s preferred next club, with the 27-year-old keen to win trophies under Pep Guardiola.
And so too are Chelsea, despite the controversy a move to Stamford Bridge would inevitably bring.

Now, the Manchester Evening News say Kane told Mourinho he wanted to leave Tottenham on the day the Portuguese was relieved of his duties.
And though Tottenham believe they can price their prized asset out of a move away this summer, that hasn’t stopped them from looking at potential replacements.
Swap deals may become more regular in transfer windows going forward while clubs continue to feel the impact caused by the coronavirus crisis.
And Tottenham have picked out players from both United and City they’d be open to having on board.
Anthony Martial is one, with the United forward previously a transfer target for Mauricio Pochettino during his spell in charge.
And, regarding City, Gabriel Jesus is also on Tottenham’s radar.
Tottenham could even look beyond the pair when it comes to replacing Kane, who has managed 35 goal involvements from 33 Premier League matches this season.
Andre Silva would be a good buy for the club, having flourished over in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt this season.
Likewise Paulo Dybala, who has been on Tottenham’s radar ever since they failed to sign the Juventus star back in the summer transfer window of 2019.
And another good replacement would be Danny Ings, who has rebuilt his career at Southampton ever since leaving Liverpool behind two years ago.
