Man City: Pep keeps transfer policy despite praising Haaland
Borussia Dortmund executive Michael Zorc has doubled down on the club's plan to keep Erling Haaland at all costs this summer. The Norwegian frontman who continues to develop at an alarming rate has put himself in the shop window once again as Europe's elite eye a blockbuster transfer at the end of the season.

"Yesterday I spoke to Mino Raiola," Zorc said. "We’ve made our intentions very clear. It's no problem when Alfie [Haaland's father] and Mino want to take a sunbathe on the Mediterranean Sea. I am relaxed because I know what we want.”
Zorc has now been quizzed on the situation once again following the news that Raiola and Haaland senior are set to meet with a host of English clubs in the near future.
But his message remains the same, emphasising that Haaland's entourage are in fact the ones exploring the idea of another move just 14 months after joining Dortmund for £18m.
"I don't see the need to set deadlines at the moment [for transfers]," Zorc said today. "With Erling Haaland, we have a clear stance, which we have communicated to the parties involved."

Should Dortmund manage to keep hold of Haaland, they would be likely to lose him at a much cheaper price a year down the line when his £64m release clause becomes active in the summer of 2022.
Champions League qualification is likely to prove decisive for Dortmund in their bid to keep Haaland.
They are now seven points outside of the top-four following the 2-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend.
Haaland is desperate to continue playing in Europe's elite club competition and will not join a club that don't play in the Champions League.

As it stands, it's believed that Dortmund's Champions League opponents Manchester City are among the favourites for Haaland.
The club announced two weeks ago that Sergio Aguero would be leaving upon the end of his contract in the summer.
It leaves City in need of a new No 9 and now they could pay over £100m for a player for the first time in their history.
Barcelona are also serious contenders, permitting they can raise funds as new president Joan Laporta fights to convince Lionel Messi to sign a contract extension.
